Description
1.Product Introduction
The PE steel belt reinforced helical corrugated pipe is a type of double-walled helical corrugated pipe formed by winding and compounding high-density polyethylene (HDPE) as the matrix with a wave-shaped steel belt coated with adhesive resin as the primary supporting structure.
This unique “steel-plastic composite” structure ingeniously combines the high strength of steel with the corrosion resistance of plastic. The steel belt ensures the pipe’s core ring stiffness, while the outer polyethylene layer provides excellent resistance to chemical corrosion and abrasion. It is primarily used in non-pressurized or low-pressure buried drainage and sewage systems, serving as a superior upgraded alternative to traditional concrete and cast iron pipes in modern municipal, mining, and other underground pipeline engineering projects.

3.Connection Methods
- Extrusion Welding:Performed using an extrusion welding gun and dedicated welding rods to create a strong, fused joint.
- Heat-Shrink Sleeve/Collar Connection:A heat-shrink sleeve is heated evenly using a torch, causing it to contract and form a tight seal around the joint. In practice, adjustable roller supports are often used to align the pipe ends and facilitate uniform 360° welding, ensuring joint quality.

- Electrofusion Band Connection.
- Electrofusion Socket Fusion:This specialized connection method is particularly suitable for underground drainage systems in settings like chemical plants where stringent corrosion resistance requirements exist.

7.Manufacturing Process Flow
- Material Preparation and Treatment:The primary raw materials are high-density polyethylene (PE) resin, high-strength steel belt, and special adhesive resin. The steel belt must be processed to ensure it is free of oil and rust.
- Steel Belt Forming and Coating:The steel belt is rolled into a corrugated shape to serve as the main supporting structure and is then coated with adhesive resin on its surface.
- Winding and Bonding:While the plastic material is in a fully molten state, the coated corrugated steel belt and polyethylene are combined using a helical winding process to form the dual-wall pipe. The layers bond firmly in the molten state, ensuring the pipe’s integral structural integrity.
- Cooling and Shaping:The wound pipe is cooled to set its shape.
- Cutting and Trimming:The pipe is cut to specified lengths, and the cut ends are trimmed to ensure a smooth, burr-free finish.
- Inspection and Marking:The pipes undergo inspection for appearance, dimensions, and performance. Qualified products are then printed with product information.
